Magnum Opus
‘Magnum Opus’ is William Vinopal’s senior thesis, created while studying Photography & Digital Imaging at Ringling College of Art & Design. Drawing from influences Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Phantom of the Opera’, Mozart’s Requiem Mass, as well as from personal experiences, he weaved a narrative within the ‘Void’-like universe formed in his previous works.
“To face the poltergeist that has been stalking me at a distance, but always there. This story is a familiar one, the tale of love lost and the tragic ruin of our protagonist. Classic as tales go, nevertheless true in my case.”

The hardcover photobook and digital version of Magnum Opus is available for sale on Blurb.
The Void
‘The Void’ is a fantastical universe that formed after developing on an idea for portrait and landscape photography. What originally started as an idea for a homework assignment in a documentary class, Vinopal began focusing on our species’ primal nature in relation to darkness. This concept led to the creation of “In Relation to the Human Psyche: A Photo Essay”, a photobook that accumulated several photo series together under this shared concept.

The hardcover photobook and digital version of In Relation to the Human Psyche: A Photo Essay is available for sale on Blurb.
