B. William Vinopal is a native to the once sleepy city known as Bradenton, on the southern lip of the Tampa Bay; born along the banks of the Manatee River, near the point of its run to the Gulf of Mexico. His mother’s family has several generations worth of stories about Old Florida, which he is in the proud tradition of retelling. His father is a farm boy from the Midwest, where his family arrived from Ireland and Bohemia, incrementally, throughout the 19th Century. He carries a great deal of pride and reverence for his home state, his father’s Irish Catholic heritage, and the unique Czech surname he’d been given responsibility of.
