Though a lover of the fine arts, Vinopal’s greatest passion is for history and its preservation. Though only an amateur historian, he is constantly studying and trying to delve deeper in order to understand the past and what made us who we are now. His dream is to assist in this preservation by utilizing his artistic ability to help spread and inform significant history that risks being lost as we move further along our timeline.

It’s been said that history is an argument about the past. We may not still fully understand the total events that are described within these collections, and even less so for an amateur historian. Vinopal, being the bibliophile that he is, is always reading, researching, and looking out for whatever details may be accessible. Some information within these pages may be outdated or outright incorrect, and all is susceptible to change as he continues to learn. However, if there is a lack of evidence on a subject, and it relies on conjecture or legend, he will do his utmost to clarify such matters. Furthermore, Vinopal will provide a ‘recommended reading’ list of books on each page that have inspired these travels.

All the photos within these collections are a result of Vinopal’s personal travels to these destinations, he has never received funding of any kind for these endeavors.

For those who may not share Vinopal’s inclination towards history, he only hopes that his photographs may be beautiful enough to offer a new appreciation for these culturally rich locations.
